Move Together Mentorship Program
Helping Youth Thrive Through Mentorship and Community Support
At the heart of the Houston Multicultural Center's mission is a commitment to support and uplift refugee youth through mentorship and community engagement. Our Move Together Pilot Project aims to enhance both the physical and mental well-being of young refugees, aged 15-24, by fostering friendships and personal growth through youth sports

What We Offer:
Mentorship Matching: Youth are paired with dedicated mentors, including representatives from relevant cultural communities, to guide and support their integration.
Needs Assessment: We begin with a comprehensive evaluation to understand each youth's individual goals and challenges.
Supportive Activities: Structured programs focus on academic, vocational, social, and emotional development.
Family Engagement: Families play a vital role in the mentoring journey, ensuring youth have strong networks both inside and outside the program.
The RYM program goals are to promote positive civic and social engagement and support individual educational and vocational advancement.
Services and those requiring additional academic, vocational, social, or emotional support.
